FSP Psychologist · Women's Health and Menopausal Transition

Perimenopause and menopause shouldn't feel like a crisis. It's a transition — and it's possible to get through it with the right support.

Adelaide Martinet profile photo.jpeg

I am a FSP Psychologist, based in the Lake Geneva region.

My work focuses on the psychological and emotional health of women, particularly during the menopausal transition.

Before specializing in psychology, I worked for 20 years in human resources, at the heart of complex organizations. This experience gave me a precise understanding of the professional and personal pressures that women face at this stage of their lives, and how rarely these pressures are recognized for what they are.

I hold a Master's degree in Psychology and currently collaborate on research topics in Psychology with the University of Fribourg, focusing on sleep, inflammatory eating patterns, and emotional regulation during the menopausal transition. I am also trained as a nutrition consultant, which allows me to bring an integrative perspective to my practice, working on both the psychological and physiological dimensions of this life stage.

I work in French and English – Spanish is an option if needed.

An integrative approach

I combine psychological tools with an understanding of the nutritional and physiological dimensions of the menopausal transition. The sessions are not aimed at managing symptoms one by one. They aim to understand what is happening in your body and mind, and to build the inner resources to navigate this period with clarity.

The sessions take place online via secure video.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does it work?

All sessions take place online via secure video, from wherever you are — in Switzerland or abroad.

First session

The first session is an opportunity to discuss your reasons for seeking help, to understand what kind of support would suit you best, and to decide together if we're a good fit. There is no commitment beyond this initial meeting.

Regular sessions

The sessions last 60 minutes and are held weekly or bi-weekly, depending on your needs and pace.

Prices

Session : CHF 160.–/hour

Cancellation : A minimum of 24 hours' notice is required. Sessions cancelled without notice will be charged in full.

Payment : CHF 160.– via TWINT, to be made before the session. Payment details will be sent to you with your appointment confirmation.

Refund

Sessions are not covered by basic health insurance (LAMal). They may be partially covered by supplementary insurance, depending on your policy. We recommend checking directly with your insurer.

Appointment booking

All appointments are booked via OneDoc. You can view available time slots and book at any time.

Who are these sessions intended for?

All women are welcome to participate in psychological support sessions. We offer expertise in women's health for those aged 35 and over who are experiencing the psychological, emotional, or physical effects of perimenopause or menopause and who wish to understand what is happening and find a way forward. No prior diagnosis is required to book an appointment.

Do I need a prescription?

No. You can book an appointment directly on OneDoc without a prescription. If you are also being treated by a doctor or gynecologist, I am happy to work in conjunction with them.

Are the sessions available in English or Spanish?

Yes. I work in French, English, and Spanish. You choose your language when booking on OneDoc.

Is this therapy or coaching?

These are psychological support sessions led by a FSP-certified psychologist, not coaching. The approach is grounded in evidence-based and scientific psychology, adapted to the specific context of women in various life transitions.

What if I'm not sure it's right for me?

Send me an email briefly describing your situation. I will tell you honestly whether my approach seems appropriate for what you are going through.
